I love the picture...I may have to put it on my blog...who is the artist? Exactly matches my mood right now...

quiet places

there are places deep inside;
cracks and crevices
tucked away
behind walls of flesh and bone-
invisible.

private and unknown to those
who we otherwise bare our souls to;
lonely, out-of-the-way places
kept tucked away
behind walls of flesh and bone.

our secrets lie there-
the very essence
of who we really are;
of who we can't be
on the outside.

quiet places let us
have a place to
scream and rage!
to cry
behind walls of flesh and bone.

I too love the painting, but I have to confess someone sent it to me as an e-card, and so I actually don't know the artist...I wish I did....but you are welcome to have or use it....

hello... what an amazingly comfortable looking cafe you have here enigma... so bright and clean and yet there is a soft edge of familiarity to the furnishings. i didn't notice a "No Shirt, no shoes, no blog... No service" sign in the window by that pretty front door of yours, so thought i'd stop in for a dark roast redeye if that wouldn't be too much trouble. no room for cream thank you. oh and a chocolate croissant if you'd have any... Thanks so much

the image of the lady watching the sky is evocative of many late nights spent doing just the same thing, trying to count galaxys and meteorites... it looks like a poster Susan Boulet might have done

Ball of Light- if you figure out who painted it that is great- we are all mystified...so enjoy the cafe , it is still being set up ...but is a nice little retrieve....that we all need..
