Music for tonight is Fleetwood Mac, "The Chain"....I went to many of their concerts and had all of their albums. I loved them , even though the complications of their relationships created such tension on the stage over the years. I always felt so fortunate to see them .....They had great strength to play together and heal their past. Yet it was their strength and love that helped them play so beautifully...and they are still playing , occasionally reuniting and sharing their wonders. I hear them play and I feel 16 again....or almost.

I was at Walmart the other and they had Ruby Slippers for sale, and my first thought was , that if you came home an found ruby slippers by the front door, would you put them on ? Would you tap them three times ? What would you wish for....

Gosh, what a good question. What would I wish for in my ruby slippers? Could I have more than one wish? Not that I'm greedy, I just can't decide....
First off, I would have to think twice about putting them on. I had a friend who found a nice pair of loafers on his front porch once, just when he needed them, so he thought it was a good omen. He wore them all that day & by the next day, had THE WORST case of Athlete's Foot ever! I mean bad enough that he thought his feet were going to rot off.
But OK, assuming I sprayed them first with some kind of industrial disinfectant & wore socks (sorry to break the mood), I would wish for true peace on earth, just like any miss america dodo-head. All else would flow from that, I think.
Well, lassies I can tell you right now...if I were to try them on and they were indeed 10AAA, sorry, but I would wish they were mine....
and yes, I wish to go home to the Northwest...even for a day....sigh...
ahhhh the greedy enigma....
PS...Josie I just knew you were a Stevie fan ...I just knew it....I bet you even had one of those beautiful scrarf shawls....( I know I did..)
Seeing as Ruby Red is not my color and i have all that i need I think I would just leave them be for the next person, if not just to see what they wished for.
by the by if you go back far enough in the history of Fleetwood Mac you would find them to be an electric guitar driven blues band before they went pop.

I would try them on, and be amazed if they fit (too many years in Birkenstock sandals & a wide foot!).
I too would wish for world peace (I know dk sounds like the pagent required element line)
but if there were magic & we could request world peace, that would be so cool. Melt all the guns & weapons, tools of destruction, into bikes or playground equipment- non toxic that is!
If more than one wish were granted it would be for health. Because no matter what else you have, if you are not healthy, the rest of it does not much matter, Eh?
