jeez, now ya done it, gone and made me eyes water up....

That is fantastic. There are two people who don't listen to others, but find their own path. Thanks for your recent comments...very helpful for me.

OMG, I love that video. Saw it months ago. A friend of mine told me the whole story, these guys rescued that lion cub when it was young, but I don't know the exact circumstances.

There's another vid out there of a woman getting bear-hugged by HER lion when she goes to visit him. She also had rescued him as a cub.

SO heartwarming.

nearly all my work, professionally and personally, is rescuing animals. I'm nutty for them. And I love videos like this being out there because it shows people how like us other animals are (many forget we actually are animals as well).

Thanks for posting.... sniff!

OK, my friend sent me the article detailing the whole story:

so good to see you and thank you for that link...really amazing .....and thank you thank you for rescuing animals...my son and I too have rescued so many from a pregnant skink, to a 3 legged wounded hedgehog to a turtle to many dogs, cats, rabbits, even a stick bug....and a wounded slug in the NW ( yes, a slug...lol)...

I rescued a big banana slug once too! It was hanging out on a step right in the path of hikers in Muir Woods (a gorgeous place... near San Francisco). No one else wanted to touch it. It was slimy but really actually very cute! I just moved it with a stick to a safer spot.

Thank you for all your rescue work and for fostering a love and respect for animals in your son. That does so much for the world.

so nice you saved the little fella...
About my MAIN blog- scroll up and see the LINKS- WATERGATE SUMMER is my main blog...
there you can link to PEACE TREE and FROM THE LEFT......

and yes, we have rescued so many...and the skug lived quite happily on a pie plate and ate lettece and other salad things...he healed in about four days and went back to live outside...the skink too was returned to the wild in time to deliver her babies...( we found neighborkids trying to stuff her in a mailbox- my son was like 6 and we took care of her- after the trauma and about two weeks later- she looked about to pop so we took her to a lovely pond....)
