I didna see it, have yet no comment or endorsement to my world for a candidate. Yet I am slowly I think opening the conservatives eye that makes them think they are a part of the(as TC calls it) No millionaire left behind program. A fool and his money...
Peace Enigma all of us will need our energy come the real war beginning in July.

I want to hang out in the Enigma Cafe...
I support Obama and hope he is our next Prez.
oh, i'm so politically incorrect. i still want hillary. i've heard all the nasty stuff attributed to her - and i wouldn't ever vote for Bill again - but i believe if you sift through things enough, you'd find the same mudslinging from obama. maybe a little subtler - but it's there. it's kinda like the bible - you can make it say whatever you want it to say, depending on the interpretation. it comes down to experience for me.
i know my gal most likely won't win, but we will have lost a grand opportunity.
Weezie:
I know you are still rooting for her, I just can't...I do want a woman some day...but Not her..I don't trust her....I have been dissapointed in her, and her performance as a person, she has let alot of good people down- like you....
I think Obama has stood up for himself and been appropriate, the racebaiting and fearmongering that her campaign has displayed is divisive...heartbreaking really....
I think they only person who lost an opportunity was her....Blind with her own desire for power- she has been blind to the way she has disenfranchised millions with her attitude...and leadership of her own campaign....
I read her books, and watched her for years...I am dissappointed in her, feel like I never really knew her....
She could have handled alot of this with more grace, dignity and honesty....
To be honest , due to my son I studied Obama, I am grateful that 6-6 made me open my eyes and my heart....and my mind...( I had been an Edwards supporter..)...I have learned and met wonderful people working for him....and I think his campaign is about healing and Unity...so that is why I believe in him as a Leader....a Leader is someone that people naturallly want to follow...he has that...
( I also wrote you over at Watergate Summer....we are friends..and please know I don't judge or believe that as a country all of us can move forward....heal...the divisions she has created are within the DEM party....but we are a Community in Blogatopia - we heal... together..always)
Chewick:
well we need a cat here at the cafe, so make yourself at home...settle in enjoy....( I am heading to your blog..)
Walking Man:
I am not sure what you meant about July..but I do know that the politcal Landscape are changing...daily...we will see where it goes...But Hope is never a bad thing...ever.
The dem convention is June no? Come July there will be a candidate and then the war begins for the white house. I am still waiting to see whether MI is disenfranchised at the convention, which will determine my level of participation in the process . No voice=no work.

walking-
The dem convention is in August but this will be over by early June.
enigma-
I love the Stones. I've seen 'em twice the live. The last time was a spur of the moment thing where I didn't have tickets and went by the stadium anyway in hopes of finding a scalper.
I got a seat directly behind the stage and about 10 feet from Mick, Keith and the boys.
Dean Wormer:
I too have seen them live- in my youth ;-)
( okay days of a fine youth misspent...although my son has asked would or could I go to a STONES concert- well- how could I refuse that idea ;-)
They were at times wonderful...at times -yes- stoned and lyrically challenged...and even falling off the stage...but.BUT they were always wonderful....
now 10 feet- WOW....I am so envious...
DEMS Convention is August...BUT this needs to be settled long before that....before there is too much more damage...
oooops Walking Man..
that last part was meant for you....
but I am sorry about Michigan..
what a frigging mess..
this whole thing has to be settled so all of
us can help keep McShame out of the Whitehouse..
E4e
I still don't think it has to be settled by August.
I want to see everything about how these two handle themselves when the primaries are over and how they respond to the inevitable crisis in their campaigns.
I do not feel they are damaging themselves or the party by protracting this. They are illuminating it. I for one for many, many years have been sore at having the horses in the race decided way before the actual race, I want to know the strengths and weakness' of the one I pull the lever for. Although I think you know I will go DEM no matter the candidate.
MI...last weekend we did have our Dem party caucuses to decide delegate count and it was beautiful. They fought and wrangled and came out of it stronger for it in case our delegates do get seated. We will be sending a split group to the convention. If they are given voice of some kind then I will feel more a part of the process, if not, I will simply go vote in November.
Peace

Oh yeah by the by I am still a strongly committed political independent. Always have been and always will be.The time for swinging your individual choice, in the direction some special interest,(Union, Bankers assoc. etc.) are waaaaaay over for me.
Peace
I hate to rain on the Obama parade, folks, but I'm not totally sure he WILL get us out of Iraq. His lackluster performance at the Petreaus hearings left me more than a little confused. I guess going from fixing pot-holes to running the free world can be a massive shock to anybody's system. P.S. I don't like any of these 3 clowns left in the field. I would much rather have a Chuck Hagel/Mary Landreau unity ticket with Dick lugar as Secretary of State and Sam Nunn as Secretary of Defense. As a viable choice, I'm saying.
Will"
Hey there...the thing is NONE Of them said what we wanted to hear during those hearings...but Obama asked some really good questions....McCain kissed ass...and Hill just seemed tired, bored, uninspired...it was not a great performance by any or all of them....
( I would love to see CHuck Hagel as Sec of Defense ...or Webb ? )
I am sorry you think all three are clowns- I don't think all three are clowns...I think one is old and senile....and one is narcisstic and egotissical...
and Obama I think is indeed the best choice....
but that is me..you can read and do all the research......I know in the end you don't want McCain....
Walking Man:
I know you are doing what needs to be done up there...and that you are working hard to make change.....and end the Bush Regime....thank you...and that you are with the working people..working to help them....thank you for that too....
I am definitely NOT voting for McCain (he's so far removed from the man he was from 2000-2002 that it's scary). As for Obama, I just wish the Dems had vetted him a little more. Hopefully, there are no more surprises. Peace.
whelp Will..
About Vetting....
McSenile:::
we still have not seen ALL McSenile's tax returns....and the Beer Fortune...and also about the Keating 5 ...and the Drug/JD scandel of 2000 ( involving his wife- that he paid off) and also any Indian affairs and Abramoff Scandel dust.....AND his medical records....
Clinton Vetting Issues:::::
.and all of the Clinton tax returns ( and the Foundation returns...I would hate to find out that Bill set up a foundation so that they could FUND Hillary running for prez- but I am worried.) to be honest with her lies...and the scandels in the CLinton closet that worries me much more....much. Her experience needs MUCh more scrutiny....MUCH....and HER Whole 10 minute speech she gave on the floor when the Iraq War Vote was on- and she in her speech tried to link Al Queda to Saddam...( btw I have it linked to a post from last month- I can find it if you want to see it ...) Also her NAFTA work in the 90s.....
About Obama.....I think he has been vetted fairly well....( I mean they had to dig at his rev to try to muddy him.....and footage of "the finger" ...oh plez...and the damn lapel pin?????) and I think Kennedy and Kerry and the Other Party Elders have been watching him, mentoring him and checking him for a long time since 2004....
I just wish the Campaign had stayed focused on THE issues longer than 10 minutes....but ....ce la vie...
40 days to go....
Obama's on record as saying there may be a need to leave as many as 60,000 troops in Iraq. That position scares me. I know there are no good options in Iraq.... but we have to get our troops out of Arabia, period! And, yes, that's my problem with McCain, too.
I thought that we had taken all of our troops out of Saudi Arabia...about Iraq- I have never read or heard that he plans to leave ANY troops there- or leave bases there- I know Hill has talked about leaving troops in the region and the bases- and I also have heard say that the Contracted employees would still need to be protected.
But I will keep looking into it and listening to his speechs....
When I said Arabia, I meant it in the old sense, the middle east. Sorry 'bout that. P.S. Remember when Conservatism meant staying out of foreign entanglements? From Eisenhower to G.W. Bush, not a good tragectory, is it?
oahhhh that is okay- I understand....
ahem about tragectory....tragic....that is the best word...
Eisenhower's grand-daughter, Susan, supports Obama. P.S. I thought Mr. Obama gave a good speech yesterday, rebuking Wright while still acting stately. Kudos.
