Each Day I will post Some new art, some music, and maybe a Quote....and then you all can come and go as you like...and maybe chat a bit amoungst yourselves...Over at Watergate Summer I am focusing on the Fires, so this might be a little distraction from that....for all of us. So please come on, have a seat and warm up. The Music today is Natlie Merchant, "These are the Days", just click the Title....

Today's Art is " Ask No More ?" I am intrigued by this painting....I think she looks much older....I like that.....

I like this site and I'm glad you're up and running.

Since it may be some time before I work my way down to "W" in Bloglines, I'll let you know here that Kvatch is updating his blog letting people know where he's guest posting.

He came in out of the rain and took a look around. He ordered a double americano and watched the barista draw the crema laden esperesso.

"Nice place, nice and cozy in here", he said.

The good looking redhead smiled and handed him his drink. He sat down and looked about the room.

"You know, I am pretty handy.I uysed to own my own business doing construction and other stuff. I can put a fireplace in this end quite easily. I see a chimney outsidew this wall I can tap right in to. I'd be glad to donate the time for a cup of coffee now and then. What d'ya think?"

The red haired beauty looked his way as she fussed with some stylish mugs, setting them straight along a shelf above the Espresso machine and said, "........................

ahhhh the expresso machine...I know someone that even knows how to work it ;-)

the decor...art deco ( hmm or is it Noveau? 1930's decor ala Shabby Chic ) deep green paint, some yellow and different shades of reds, like colors of an apple orchard black and white tile floors, Everything is handpainted and slightly mismatched, old wooden tables and chairs. Some of the tables have handpainted checkerboards on them....There are curtains by the old wooden apothecary Counter to hide the clutter, they have apples on them...and the Expresso machine shines ;-)

There are two steaming crockpots with soup, one that has Chedder Broccoli, the other Curry Pumpkin....for today...

Some of the Tables have teapot lamps ( made out of old teapots)...

There is an old museum case that displays cookies, muffins and some of SUMO"s pies and cheesecakes...

It is an old shop , so the Display Windows have work of local artists, and the front door has a beautiful old Stained glass window that was from a church...

On the wall by the front door it has been painted with chalkboard paint there are messeges for people and also drawings by children...and Soup of the Day is posted...

on the wall across from the Bare wall- there is a big Old overstuffed Deep Burgundy sofa....

and SO OF COURSE over in that bare corner...we NEED a Fireplace....
