Sunday Night Thoughts....

The sun was really bright today...and I ALMOST believe that Spring is here...except the weatherman is calling for Snow..yes , snow tomorrow.....it is like a cruel joke....The Sun was amazing today....like something out of a Edward Hopper painting, blazing warm heat....I made Sun Tea...it will taste like That Sun....like sleepy cats on the ledge and swirling sandalwood incense....like fresh cut grass....and fresh baby Lilac buds....

Click the Title- the linked song is for Will"take no prisoners" Hart, this song has been in my head all weekend, while I swept and cleaned the frig....it is "Mercy" by Duffy a little tiny Welsh girl, yet she sounds bluesy....like she should be singing in a little blues club here by Lake Erie or down south in NOLA.....I like the English Video better than the Americanized version , that is too scripted....the one from England has Fire dancers ( which is way more interesting than Breakdancing..)

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE.....

I try not to blog political over here...but tonight..I had to wait until 4am to see Obama's last HUGE rally in Pittsburgh on TV...MASSIVE rally....Theresa Heinz Kerry spoke so beautifully and the crowd went wild...And it was so beautiful to see this Hopeful Rally....Happy Earth Day.


( My son and I have been listening to alot of Stones tonight....so tonight Gimme Shelter....I loved the photo...the kids with their signs....)

There is Something very magical about watching a dog run in the surf...They don't care how wet they get and how cold.My little yellow dog...she loved the Surf in California and running on the beach....and jumping the waves and jumping through a Hula Hoop.....to her the Surf was just a Big Playtoy....a Friend.

So I look at this photo and I think What are they talking about....Because they look like they are having a conversation....the GoldFish even looks confrontational....Brave.

BALANCE.....

I love making little sculptures with rocks....I have left them whereever I have lived...Sometimes I paint them...sometimes I glaze them so they look wet....I like creating the Balance...and putting the stones together...like a family ...trying to create Balance....

Tuesday Night Soulfood... " I Believe"

The Song that is linked to the Title is " I Believe" sung by Fantasia....( my son and I both Loved this Song when she sang it on Idol back in 2004....really amazing song....she gave it her All...and sang it with such feeling...)

I love this photo...this afternoon I walked to the store and this photo looks much like what I saw....Around the Corner, On the second floor of a little brick apartment house- one child was throwing Jelly Beans over the railing....and there were four open mouthes below waiting for the Beans to Rain Down....Just a moment of Joy as they concentrated on the Gifts from Above....It was too hard to catch while giggling they quickly found out... they gave me the best Smile Moment of the Day....
